Cub Scouts Pack 48

In order to register your son/daughter for the first time with Pack 48, please see instructions below.

Step 1: Fill out the online national application at beascout.org, search for Cub Scout Pack 48 with zip code 08550.  National dues are prorated by the month of the year, and include a subscription to Scouts Life magazine, to learn more about scouting.

Step 2:  Health Forms 

• Fill out BSA Medical Form A & B - This form is not required to be filled by pediatrician. (http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf) 
• Copy of Health Insurance Card - Front & Back 
• Copy of Immunizations records

Step 3: If your child is in Kindergarten or First Grade:  Fill out Adult Leader Application Click here to download.   In addition, if you will be a Cubmaster or Den Leader, also complete an Adult Leader Application.  Each family in Pack 48 takes on one leadership role, such as Den Leader or Committee Member or Event Chair.

Step 4: Mandatory Youth Protection Training: 

• Create account by going to https://my.scouting.org/ 
• Once you login, take the *new* online Youth Protection at   https://my.scouting.org/ 
• Click in the upper right hand corner for Youth Protection Starts Here.  Create an account if you have not before, or login.  After completion of training -Print the copy of certificate.

Step 5: You will be contacted by our Committee Chair as soon as we receive the online national application.                 

                Then we will contact you about our calendar, and Pack Dues.  $120 is our New Scout fee, covering adult registration fee, your scout's handbook, neckerchief, council patch, neckerchief slide and yearly program costs.  If you join in July through September, there is no fee because of reduced programs, but you register and pay next year's fees in October as an Existing Scout.  Once application is submitted you will receive communication from Scout Manager to access your scouts account and Den leader about upcoming meetings. 

Step 6:  Families are responsible for purchasing the scout uniform for their child.  See the Uniform section of our website.  We may have some gently used uniform parts available from our T-Shirt volunteer.
